Sharing the Work of the Church in East Texas

The mission of the diocesan communications office it to promote the work and services provided by the diocesan bishop and the departments, programs, and ministries of the Diocese of Tyler.

It serves as the liaison for all diocesan entities and media outlets. The director serves as the primary spokesperson for the diocese.

The communications office is responsible for the development of diocesan communications plans and addressing issues of concern to the Church in the Diocese of Tyler and oversees diocesan websites, social media, the St. Philip Institute podcasts, and monthly Qué Pasa announcements.

The office of communications also manages the Catholic East Texas, magazine of the Diocese of Tyler. The Catholic East Texas is a quarterly magazine sent out to registered parishioners throughout the diocese.

Qué Pasa?

Qué Pasa? is a monthly resource from the Diocese of Tyler Communications Office that provides announcements and events from around the diocese. We are happy to help publicize events and activities for Catholics happening in the diocese. Events must be open to all Catholics and must align with the Catholic Church. To request that an announcement or event appear in Qué Pasa?, please complete this form. The deadline is the 25thof each month. The diocese has final discretion on the inclusion of announcements and the wording used.

Diocesan E-newsletter

The diocesan e-newsletter is published by email on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. The newsletter inculdes the latest news, updates and events from the Diocese of Tyler. Sign up to receive the e-newletter at Flocknote.

The Catholic East Texas is the magazine of the Diocese of Tyler. The magazine is printed quarterly and is disributed to registered parishioners in the diocese.
