Robert Puschautz is the Stabat Mater Art Fellow for the St. Philip Institute of Catechesis and Evangelization. He is working on bringing the beauty of Sacred Art to our Churches here in the Diocese of Tyler. The Immaculate Conception is a grand work of art, depicting the Blessed Virgin Mary protected from sin by our Lord Jesus Christ. Through the power of Christ, she conquers that ancient serpent described in Genesis 3 and Revelation 12. In this painting, we see our lady crushing the head of the serpent, who binds the world.
