Relic of Bl. Rev. Michael McGivney: A first class relic of Blessed Rev. Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, will be visiting St. Mary Magdalene Parish (18221 FM 2493, Flint, TX 75762) on Thursday, January 9. The relic will arrive at noon and will be available for veneration all afternoon on Jan. 9. There will be a rosary at 5:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m.
Catechist In-service: This event is for catechists or catechetical leaders in the Diocese of Tyler. At this in-service we’ll cover topics such Christian Initiation and the new OCIA, the marriage catechumenate, parental involvement in catechesis, and the 2025 Jubilee Year. The event will be January 11, 2025 from 9am-3pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler. Registration is $10 and lunch will be provided. Presentations will be in English and Spanish. Theology of Marriage and Dance Retreat: Parishioners from the Cathedral in Tyler are hosting a Theology of Marriage and Dance Retreat on January 17-18, 2025 at the Cathedral Center in Tyler. This retreat will unite catechesis on Holy Matrimony with ballroom dance lessons. This event is open to single, engaged and married couples. More information and registration form here.

Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass: All couples in the Diocese of Tyler who are celebrating an anniversary that ends in 0 or 5 or 50 or more years of marriage in the year 2025 are cordially invited to attend the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (423 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75702), there will be a reception at the Cathedral Center following the Mass. Certificates will be mailed to couples celebrating 50 years or more of marriage. Please complete the online registration form or contact our office to RSVP by Friday, January 31, 2025.
