Diocese of Tyler

Faith Formation

The Office of Faith Formation, inspired by the life and mission of Jesus, and embracing the opportunities of our time and culture, serves to educate, evangelize and empower others through lifelong and ongoing faith formation. We respond to the needs of Faith Formation leaders, Christian Initiation coordinators and catechists through education formation and resources. We further work to equip and empower the faithful to exercise their baptismal call to evangelize. We provide consultative services directly to parishes—in both English and Spanish—for parish religious education programs, for young adult ministry, adult faith formation resources and the implementation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (the process for adults wishing to become Catholic). The Office sponsors numerous events and workshops and offers audio, video and text resources for all ages, available year-round.
